These are a good pair of work boots. Loved the color too. Personally, I'm not in any industry that requires steel-toed or composite-toed boots but I have my share of outdoor DIY projects as well as yard work so waterproof, comfort, durability, and protection are important for our PNW weather. The leather uppers are waterproof and the composite toe setup helps when you need to move heavy things around like rockery or retaining wall stones/blocks. They're also great for clearing brush too. These do feel like other name‑brand boots, but at a much lower price point. Even though the soles are on the softer side, they do have a good tread, which helps with traction and wearing comfort during long hours of work. Out of the box they’re comfortable with only hardly any need for break‑in. I have wide feet and sizing was just right. The included extra insoles are a nice bonus - especially if you want a tighter fit or for me, my own arch supports.
These work boots look great right out of the box and are fairly comfortable, especially for something built for heavy‑duty use. The crazy horse leather gives them a rugged, high‑quality appearance, and they feel solid enough for long days on the job. They also fit true to size, which is always a relief when ordering boots online. For work boots, the comfort level is impressive. They break in nicely, and the support is good enough for construction, landscaping, or industrial work. The traction is excellent; the soles grip well on different surfaces, which adds a lot of confidence when working in less‑than‑ideal conditions. They also seem very water‑resistant, keeping my feet dry even when working around wet areas. One thing I really appreciate is that they come with extra insoles. That’s usually the first thing I end up replacing in boots, so having a spare set included is a big plus. Overall, these are sturdy, good‑looking boots with solid comfort, great traction, and thoughtful extras. A strong choice for anyone who needs reliable footwear for tough work environments.
These composite toe work boots are built for tough jobs and long days on your feet. Right out of the box, they feel solid and well-constructed, with durable materials.
The composite toe provides excellent protection without the extra weight of traditional steel toe boots, which makes them more comfortable for extended wear. They still offer the safety you need on the job while keeping the boots lighter and easier to move around in.
The waterproof feature is another big advantage. Whether working in wet conditions, mud, or rain, the boots help keep your feet dry and comfortable throughout the day. The traction on the outsole is also impressive, providing good grip on different surfaces and helping you stay stable while working.
Comfort is a standout feature as well. The boots offer good support and cushioning, making them suitable for long shifts without causing too much fatigue. They even come with their own set of additional insoles for extra customization. They also break in nicely after a short period of wear.
Overall, these boots are a reliable choice for anyone who needs strong, protective, and waterproof footwear for work. They combine durability, safety, and comfort, making them a solid option for heavy-duty use.
The SUREWAY Men’s 6” Soft/Composite Toe Waterproof Work Boots are very solid and well-made. The Goodyear welt construction and thick Crazy Horse leather feel extremely durable, and the dual-density outsole provides excellent comfort and slip resistance on a variety of surfaces.
It did take about four days to fully break them in, which is expected for boots of this level of protection and build quality. Once broken in, they’re comfortable for all-day wear and provide confidence in wet, slippery, or rugged environments.
Overall, these boots are a high-quality choice for construction, industrial, or heavy-duty work (very protective), reliable, and long-lasting once broken in.
Sureway makes some pretty good work boots at reasonable price points. These boots have a nice look, made with real leather and faux-carbon fiber with orange accents. They are also supposedly rated for electrical safety and slip resistance. They look and feel tough and protective of your feet, but see the end of the review for some comments on durability.
The fit is typical Sureway, a little tight and narrow for the size. It may not be a problem for most, but if you have slightly wide feet (even if you can wear normal width for some footwear) or are almost between sizes, you'll probably have some trouble with the fit. The boots are comfortable enough even before breaking in and have some extra insole spacers to tighten the fit if needed. Traction is good. I haven't tested the waterproofing yet, but I don't have reason to doubt it after inspecting the boots and based on my previous Sureway boots.
So why four instead of five stars, despite the pretty reasonable price? Well I have some long-term durability concerns. The faux-carbon fiber looks cool but it is thin and appears susceptible to abrasion, some of the glue work is only ok, and while the stitching good in most areas (including some that are triple stitched), if you look at the photo you can see that some stitching comes through to the bottom of the sole in the toe. What happens when this wears through, as it quickly will? Will it impact the entire front part of the boot?
This is a really nice looking boot, you can even wear them out on the town! I am extremely impressed on how well it’s made. I ordered the soft toe version but they also offer a composite toe as well.
This boot is rated EH-electrical hazard protection which gives you peace of mind while on the job site. These boots are lightweight for all day comfort. The insoles are extremely comfortable.
They are waterproof and have a slip resistant sole.
This company offers a 180 day warranty.
These are definitely worth purchasing I’m glad I ordered them and you will too!
Pretty sweet boots. They're nicer in person, a little cooler than I expected. Love the color. Came with pretty damn decent insoles and some thin extra insoles inside the box if needed, which I did. I always add insoles to all my footwear no matter what, but I might not need to with these unless I need a hair more arch support. I haven't had any chance to break these in since I just got them, but I will update my review once I put them through the ringer. Also love the colors/pattern/style.
There are a few things about these boots that I really liked. 1) They were very accurate to size compared to my Keens that I normally wear. 2) The toes spacing with the soft composite toe was adequate. 3) Overall the grip of the shoe seems good. 4) Overall, my feet felt comfortable in the boot. 5) They included inserts if you want a cozier fit.
So why 3 stars? One main reason. The tongue of the boot pushed hard my ankle bones. The only way that i can wear them is if I pull the tongue outside of the boot. It didn't really matter how loose I tied them, the tongue was unbelievably uncomfortable. Truly, I can't wear them more than 2 hours without pain to my side ankle bones. That is why I pull the tongue out and then I can wear them. The other reason for 3 stars. They make my feet unusually sweat. I never have that issue with my Keens. One last minor issue, is that they have a strong chemical smell.
These are very nice work boots. Taking them out of the box, one is immediately struck with a sense of quality construction. Everything about these feels thick, the hardware is firmly secured, everything is double stitched. The composite toe is lightweight making these boots protective but not so heavy as steel toed. I have owned Sureway boots in the past and these are the same, the boots run very slightly large for their size and offer a roomy interior. These were narrower than some of the other Sureways I've had in the past, which I think is actually a benefit. These had a better fit. If you feel there is too much room in the boot, they include an insole that you can put inside to make the boot fit more snugly. Since it is winter, I just wear thicker wool socks.
I love the material on the bottom, and that it is waterproof. These boots would be ideal for work where you might be standing in spilled water or wet debris on the floor. The tread on the bottom has a nice aggressive grip and the boot laces are heavy duty.
These boots do require a breaking in period. The first day I put them on they were kind of stiff, especially across the top. I'm on my 3rd day of wearing them around now, and they are much more comfortable.
For the price, these are decent boots. Safety-toe footwear that feels more like an athletic shoe or hiking boot. Quite comfortable right away, and helped along by the optional insole [place underneath for fit and cushioning].
Downsides? They smell of acetone initially. (Probably the glue and rubber VOCs; fades pretty quick, no real issue but a quality indicator) These aren't premium materials overall, so I wouldn't expect to get years of hard use from them.. but for what they are not too bad. Cheaper leather, and mostly foam-rubber soles. Lighter weight there means less durable, but better shock absorption. Mildly cheesy faux-carbon fiber upper panel. (not too shiny or attention-grabbing; tastes vary). Somewhat Frankensteinian appearance. (if someone calls you Herman Munster, you can just kick through a wall and walk away).
Fit is true to size, medium-width, with good arch support and ankle padding. The suede/nubuck is again, budget quality but soft and durable enough; a step up from bonded leather, at least. Speed laces at the top and a reinforced pull tab finish things off, while the interior has a full waterproof sock lining [goretex-look] with heavy-duty central stitching. Many waterproof shoes feel muggy or claustrophobic after a couple hours, but these don't seem to have that issue.
With all the double and triple-stitching going into construction, it's a shame these aren't made of nicer materials. But for medium duty I'd still anticipate a couple years from them, and with affordable toe protection that could prevent serious injury.
3.5 stars, with realistic expectations from price.
I recently got these boots, and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed! First off, the waterproof full-grain leather works; I tested it in some pretty wet conditions, and my feet stayed completely dry. I also like that it has a lightweight composite safety toe, and I was skeptical about how protective it would be compared to steel, but it protects just as well. This means I can wear these boots all day without feeling fatigued or them being too heavy. One other thing is that they are very comfortable to wear, and they come with additional insoles if you would like to switch to a more customized level of comfort. Also, one of my biggest concerns was safety, and the advanced slip-resistant outsole provided excellent grip on slippery or uneven surfaces.
Overall, I highly recommend these boots to anyone looking for durable, comfortable, and safe work footwear.
