Before leaving for college, John gave his father Mike, a lifelong construction worker, a pair of work boots. Mike wore them proudly. But on a visit home, John saw what long days on the job had left behind: damp feet and blisters.
The gift looked good. It wasn’t giving his father the comfort he needed.

John called his friend Chad. They shared a frustration: finding well-made work boots at a price working people could afford.
They set out to build SUREWAY around that need, bringing together Chad’s craftsmanship and a practical understanding of life on the job.
